The Montana Office of Tourism (Montana Office of Tourism and the Montana Film Office) is the statewide film and tourism development and promotion program provided by the Montana Department of Commerce. Montana Office of Tourism serves the people of Montana with programs designed to develop and promote Montana as an attractive destination for visitors from around the world. Our goal is to work with our statewide partners to create a tourism industry that provides positive benefits for Montana's economy, its communities, and its people. The Montana Film Office promotes the state as a location for feature films, commercials, television, documentaries, music videos, and still photography by providing information, scouting, and support services to the motion picture industry.
In the course of its operations, the Montana Office of Tourism creates and utilizes a large amount of useful information and programs. Through this site, we want to share with you some of the tools the Montana Office of Tourism offers. We will provide you with research reports, statistics, and general information to help you better understand tourism's role or highlight opportunities that can help you improve your own community or business.
Among the information included on our site are staff presentations to the Tourism Advisory Council, and the current Montana Nonresident Travel Facts. Applications, regulations, and forms for various Montana Office of Tourism programs are located in the News & Updates section. New activities, studies, and opportunities are occurring all the time in the tourism industry, and we will work to keep on top of these developments. In doing so, the information provided through this site will undergo regular changes and revisions.
